May the Lord welcome his child Elaine into eternal life. I will always love her and be grateful for the seasons I spent in her company. She was so much more than a sister-in-law: she set an example in life I could follow. Elaine was intelligent, incredibly compassionate, always prepared, funny, committed to her vocation in life, generous, an animal lover, and, well, like no one else. And with all that good stuff Elaine was made of, she taught me how to speak up, shout out, even when it was going to be difficult and to muddle through the tough times with hope and purpose, always remembering the good times. Thank you, Elaine. Until we meet again, rest in God’s Peace.
